The World's Largest Flag!
"Ski" Demski, founder and father to Superflag, The World's Largest Flag is no longer with us. He requested that Superflag continue to be displayed across this great country for the Thomas L. Demski Trust, by Jim Alexander. The primary focus of Superflag is to bring patriotism, nationalism, and American sentiment back into our society. Superflag is but just one of many avenues available to do this.
"Ski" was an American Patriot straight to the soul. Throughout his home and office were photos, displays and artwork, all in dedication to our country and our Flag. His patriotism could also clearly be seen in person, as his attire was usually in the traditional red, white and blue. Also, his love of our country could clearly be witnessed by the fact the he had a tattoo of Old Glory across his chest, with the scar from a previous surgery replicating a flagpole. Superflag Sizes
There are four sizes available for rental and display at your next event.
"Ski" kidded everyone about his $100,000 flagpole on his chest. Although some may consider this to be a bit extreme or eccentric, there is no one in the entire country who had more loyalty, dedication and commitment to this great country of ours than "Ski." And it is this dedication that makes Superflag what it is, a record breaking national treasure that any organization would be honored to have unfurled at a special event. It is also this dedication that called Demski to flag display and unfurling in the first place. In 1980 he decided to install a 132-foot flagpole in front of his home. Since "Ski" was of Polish descent, he decided to christen it "The Pole." In July, 1980 on the christening day, "The Pole" flew a 30-foot by 60-foot "Old Glory" on her staff. It was quite the day. There was a Polish Polka Band and street party. "Ski" then commissioned an "American Flag" for when the hostages from Iran returned. The size of the flag was 47 by 82 feet. It was raised for the 444 day celebration on January 25, 1981. It sure was a happy, joyous day for all Americans. This same flag was used at the USC Library for when former President Bush (I) was campaigning for Vice-President and honored his son at his inauguration. This flag was also used in two important "welcome home" parades for Desert Storm troops. That is when "Ski" decided to commission Superflag I, which was 95 by 160 feet. Superflag I's maiden unfurling was at Tampa, Florida at Superbowl XVIII in January 1984. In the same year, the flag was presented at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in San Francisco, California. Since then, he has commissioned flags the size of a football field and larger. Superflag has been seen by millions around the country at hundreds of events and celebrations. Here is a partial list of some of the places that you may have seen her before.
